WSU-Theme House
Winona State University showed off their theme house at located at 366 Main Street Monday.
Members of the local press were invited to tour the house which is still being worked on. The house will allows students to live in "theme houses" built around shared interest groups, in this case, a technology and a sustainable "green" theme.
Senior Thomas Gorycki says he looks forward to living with students who share his interests.
Connie Gores, WSU's interim president, says the students will be living what they are being taught in the classroom.
The theme housing will be home to 10 students and 1 teacher. The house features a porch with a living green roof and 8 solar panels are being used for energy,
Gores says there will be a public open house sometime this fall.
