Positions Filled

The Buffalo County Board has approved hiring an assistant highway patrol superintendent and agreed to fill a vacant land conservation technician/planner position.

The assistant patrol position fills a highway union foreman retirement vacancy by consolidating job duties in a management position.

A land conservation technician/planner will be hired full-time to replace an employee that resigned in March.

Zoning and land conservation have been merged into a new land resources department. The plan is to have two zoning technicians and two conservation technicians.

One of the zoning tech jobs remains to be filled. The county is currently taking applications for that position.

Rather than having two managers for those departments, the consolidated land resources office will have one management director. The position has not been filled.
