Teachers in the Caledonia School District will be getting a raise but no backpay after the teachers and the district reached agreement on a new two year contract.
The Caledonia Argus reports the contract covers the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school years. It includes a 1.5% salary increase for the second year but no retro pay for the first year.
The River Valley Education Association, which represents the teachers, said teachers who lost step increases in the previous round of contract talks will get those step increases back under the new deal.
