A 39 year old Winona man was jailed early Thursday after police got a tip about a possible drug deal scheduled to take place in Levee Park.
Charged with two felony controlled substance crimes...one enhanced to the third degree because the arrest took place in a park...was Richard John Breza. Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams said an officer staked out the park and spotted some suspicious activity just after midnight.
Breza was questioned after he allegedly tried to leave the park in a boat that had been docked at the levee. Police discovered a clear plastic baggie in Breza's possession along with $216 in cash in his pockets.
Williams said the baggie contained traces of a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine and a rock-like substance that tested positive for cocaine.
