Bronk's Makeover

Lake City is going to get huge national exposure in a few months.

Bronk's Bar and Grill in downtown Lake City is getting a major makeover this week courtesy of 30 experts from the Food Network's "Restaurant: Impossible" television program and its star, Robert Irvine.

The show's representatives gathered in the restaurant or under the four tents set up outside to analyze what's wrong with the eatery and change it.

According to the Post Bulletin, one of the criteria to get on the show is that the restaurant has to be losing money. The restaurant can't be too small, or large, so the work can be done in two days, with a maximum budget of $10,000. The process started Tuesday with basic interviews at Bronk's, but serious work with Irvine started Wednesday.

The new, improved restaurant will open with a new menu and new look opened at 6:00 p.m. Thursday. The show itself is expected to be shown in late fall or early winter.
