Prescription Drop-off

The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department is giving the public a chance to get rid of unwanted and unneeded prescription drugs on Saturday, September 29th, at the Sheriff's Office in Whitehall.

The public is invited to drop off dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs between 10:00 am and 2:00 p.m.

The drop-off will be free, anonymous, and no questions asked.

Last April, Americans turned in 552-thousand pounds...or 276 tons...of prescription drugs at over 56-hundred sites operated by the Drug Enforcement Agency.

Dropping off the drugs keeps them out of the hands of other people and is much better than flushing them or placing them in the trash.
