Disaster Loans
The U-S Small Buisness Administration announced that federal economic injury disaster loans are available to small businesses, small agriculture cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private non-profit organizations located in Winona and Houston counties.
The S-B-A said Winona and Houston counties are eligible because they are next to one or more primary counties in Wisconsin,
When the Secretary of Agriculture issues a disaster declaration to help farmers recover damages and losses to crops, the Small Business Administration also issues a declaration to assist eligible entities affected by the same disaster.
The loan amount can be up to 2-million dollars with interest of three percent for private non-profit organizations, and four percent for small businesses, with terms up to 30 years.
The deadline for applying for a loan is May 20th, 2013.
