Authorities said a semi tractor trailer that was westbound on Highway 54 and lost control on a curve and flipped on its side. It struck an eastbound motorcycle. The cycle's driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the motorcycle driver was not immediately;y released. The truck driver's identity was also not immediately released. The crash was reported at 4:15 p.m.
