The meeting will feature four speakers on the topic of preserving bluff prairies along the Mississippi, Chippewa and St. Croix Rivers. Bluff prairies are disappearing due to a lack of natural or controlled fires in the bluffs along the rivers. The bluff prairies are becoming overgrown with non-native and invasive species.
Buffalo County is home to 25% of the remaining bluff prairies in Wisconsin. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
