Capital Remodel Bills

Two bills have been introduced in the Minnesota House intended to stop the construction of a new $90,000,000 Senate office building and parking ramp near the state capital.

Republican Representative Matt Dean says the project was approved in the waning hours of the 2013 session as a provision of the of the Omnibus Taxes bill.

Dean says the last-minute move did not follow the rules. He says there is no current appropriation for the project.
