Mississippi River Flooding



The Mississippi River at Winona has reached its crest and is expected to remain at current levels through Saturday.
          
The National Weather Service says the river crested at just over 12 feet at 10:00 a.m. Friday in Winona. Flood stage in Winona is 13 feet.
         
The river is expected to begin dropping on Sunday.
  
A river flood warning continues along the Mississippi River at Wabasha

The Mississippi River at Wabasha was at its flood stage of 12-feet Friday. It's expected to remain at near flood stage over this weekend before beginning a slow drop.

Minor flooding of low lying areas has occurred in Wabasha.

The river crested at just over 11-feet at Alma Thursday and has started to drop there. Minor flooding occurs in Alma at 16-feet.

The river also crested in Trempealeau Friday about a foot below flood stage.
