Car Prowlers



Winona Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for prowlers who are entering vehicles overnight and taking items.

Sargent Chris Nelson said the department has received at least eight reports of vehicles being entered in the west end of the city. The locations are on West  9th and 10th streets as well Oak, Maceman and Orrin Streets.

In one incident, Nelson said, a vehicle was stolen from outside a residence on Oak Street. The vehicle was identified as a 2000 Chrysler Town and Country mini van with a license plate number of 618-AYG.

If you have information that can help police find the suspects or solve the crimes you are asked to call the Law Enforcement Center. or you can also call Winona Area Crime Stoppers at 457-6530 where you can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward.
