A Winona public school teacher will fInd out this weekend if she will be the state's next Teacher of the Year.
Lora Hill is a special education teacher in grades nine through 12 in the Winona School District and is one of ten finalists for the 2014 Minnesota Teacher of the Year honor.
The ten finalists will be in the Twin Cities on Saturday to be interviewed by a special panel of 25 judges which will then make the final selection. The announcement will come on Sunday in Bloomington during a special Education Minnesota banquet.
The new Teacher of the Year will then be eligible to compete for the National Teacher of the Year honors.
