The Wnona County Developmental Achievement Center will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on July 19th as it prepares to undergo a pair of expansion projects.
Spokesman Ryan Buhler says two 1,800 square foot additions will be constructed to give the center more space. Buhler says one addition will expand a work space that has been outgrown.
Buhler says the other addition will be a multi-purpose room.
The project will cost an estimated $300,000 and the DAC is seeking community support in funding.
The center recently was licensed to expand its services to 75 clients from 60, thus the need for more space.
The 50th anniversary celebration will take place Saturday, July 19th, starting at 11:30 am. There will be free food and entertainment with three bands, plus an open house with tours of the building.
