A 20-year-old Winona woman was jailed on assault and drug charges Sunday evening.
Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude said deputies were called to a Hidden Valley residence in Minnesota City where a male complained of being assaulted by Bridget Ann Martinson in the man's residence.
Ganrude said the man was hit, scratched and bitten.
Ganrude said Martinson had fled the residence when authorities arrived.
Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams said Martinson was located at a Maplewood Townhomes residence about two hours later where she was discovered to be in possession of a white substance believed to be a controlled substance.
As a result of both incidents. Martinson was initially charged with assault and possession of a controlled substance.
