The building that houses the offices of the Winona Post was sold last month for $250,000.
According to documents filed at the Winona County Recorder's Office, Patrick Marek purchased the building at 64 East Second Street on July First from former owner and Post Publisher Frances Edstrom.
Marek also purchased the Winona Post newspaper but that price was not disclosed.
It was one of four commercial property purchases recently filed at the County Recorder's office.
The property at 1570 Service Drive will be transformed into a 900 square foot retail complex housing a Caribou Coffee Shop and two other businesses. New owner Paul Van Eijl purchased the property from Bob and Nancy Hemker for $400,000. Van Eijl said the current structure on the property will be torn down and the new complex constructed in its place. He hopes to open the Caribou Coffee Shop next December or January. Van Eijl declined to name the other new tennants at this time.
Ripski's Eastside Bar at 851 East Seventh Street has been sold to Jerome and Gale Gabrick and Patrick and Colleen Bushman, both of Dodge, Wisconsin, for $235,000. The business was sold by Jerome and Theresa Repinski.
and...Loren and Cheryl Kapsch of Winona have sold the property at 51 Saint Charles Street to D-and-D Enterprises of Winona for $240,000. The property houses mini-storage lockers.....
