With the increasing numbers of flag burnings, mostly in Winona's west end, a meeting has been scheduled to take place on Thursday evening to address the situation and seek some help from the public.
Second Ward City Councilman Gerry Krage said the meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the classroom at the American Legion Club at 302 East Sarnia.
Representatives of the Winoa Police Department along with Krage will be on hand to give an update on the current situation and for members of the public to air their concerns.
Krage says it's been fortunate that no homes have been set on fire from the American Flag burnings. The public's help will be sought to help find those responsible
A 13th flag burning was reported in the 300 block of West Fifth Street Saturday morning. Most of the fires have been reported in the First and Second Wards.
