Cornerstone Church Purchase

The Cornerstone Community Church has completed its purchase of property in Goodview for its new location.

Documents were recently filed at the Winona County Recorder's Office indicating the church bought the former liquor store at Highway 61 and 44th Avenue for $460,000.

The seller was Mark Swenson.

The liquor store, known as Highway 61 Liquor, is now located in the Winona Mall.
The Cornerstone Community Church property, along Highway 61 next to Dahl Toyota, was purchased by the Dahl Company for 1-point-5 million dollars. Dahl Chevrolet-Buick-GMC will relocate there because it is in the right-of-way for the new Highway 43 bridge downtown.

Church spokesman Phil Gaddis told Winona Radio News earlier that it will take six to nine months to renovate and expand the former liquor store building in Goodview.
In the meantime, the congregation was to hold services at the Hoff Funeral Chapel in Goodview.
