Authorities are looking for the driver of a semi truck who filled the truck's fuel tanks with nearly 190 gallons of diesel at the Nodine Truck stop and left without paying for them.
Sheriff's Investigator Kraig Glover said Nate Alexander filled the tank last Wednesday evening after handing a clerk a credit card. Glover said Alexander never returned for the credit card which turned out to be a fake.
The diesel bill was $725.
Glover said the truck belonged to a Rock Island, Illinois, trucking firm which had a GPS device on the rig. The device, and surveillance video, confirmed that the truck was at the Nodine stop at the date and time the diesel was placed in the tank.
