Traffic Signals Removed

Starting next week you will have clean sailing on Highway 52 between Rochester and the Twin Cities.

The Minnesota State Department of Transportation says on Monday the last traffic lights will be removed, weather permitting, when the new traffic ramp and local access roads in Cannon Falls will be opened.

The 14.3 million dollar project has been under construction since July 2013 and is expected to be completed by this coming October.

The intersection where the signals will be removed was the scene of 124 crashes, including three serious injury crashes and one fatal crash from 2004-to-2013.
