A 41-year-old Winona woman is facing possible felony assault charges after she allegedly stabbed a man during an argument.
Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams said police were called to a residence on Lennox Street and discovered a man standing in the yard bleeding from a puncture wound his thigh.

Arrested and charged with second degree assault with a weapon was Sally Jo Lince.

Williams said Lince was also cited with fifth degree assault.

The complaint says the two had a disagreement that ended with Lince stabbing the man. He was not seriously injured. Lince was taken to a detox unit.

A knife was recovered at the scene.
The case is being reviewed by the county attorney's office.
