Frozen River 30-Second Film

Two Riverway Learning Community students, fourth grader Peter Swanson, and sixth grader Ellery Kiesel, were recently honored at the 30 Seconds in Winona fundraiser for the Frozen River Film Festival.

As part of the summer program offered at Riverway they created a 30 second stop motion mini-film which they entered in the 14 and under category.  Their film, entitled, "The Race", which won  first place in their category, was made utilizing Peter's extensive Lego collection and took over a week to complete.

Peter and Ellery's mini-film also won the overall People's Choice Award.  They were voted Best in Show.

The school's next intersection with the Frozen River Film Festival will be on February 21st when the entire school community attends the festival as part of Riverway's signature Saturday School.
