The Plainview-Elgin-Millville school board has terminated a longtime teacher in the district amid protests by many community members, fellow teachers, and even students.
The Plainview News reports the board, in a closed session, voted to terminate Scott Kromminga immediately for an alleged violation of swearing which was caught on a cellphone and recorded.
Kromminga had been an instructor for 23 years, 19 years with the P-E-M district. He taught high school American history and economics.
Prior to announcing its decision, the board took public comments from a number of people who supported the popular instructor. Kromminga can appeal the ruling.....
