The Winona County Board of Commissioners holds its first meeting of the new year Tuesday.
Among the items on their agenda will be the election of a new board chair and vice chair. The new chair will take over for Marie Kovesci who chaired the board during 2016.
Also on the agenda is a year-end report from County Recorder Bob Bambenek, and a 2016 budget update report.
The board will meet in a closed session at 8:15 a.m. to discuss labor negotiation strategy for three county unions and non-union employees. The board meets as the County Health Board at 8:45 a.m. with the regular meeting at 9:00 a.m.
