Annual 2017 admission stickers good for use at Merrick and Perrot state parks as well as other parks and forest areas across Wisconsin are available.
The sticker price has gone up to $28 a year for Wisconsin residents and $38 for non-residents. Residents 65 and older can buy an annual sticker for $13.
An annual pass for using state trails costs $25 a year for those 16 and older when using certain trails for biking, in-line skating, cross-country skiing or horseback riding. A trail pass is not required for walking and hiking.
The park and trail stickers give access to thousands of miles of statewide trail, dozens of beaches and hundreds of nature hiking opportunities, the DNR says.
There are more than 60 state parks and state forests and recreational areas across Wisconsin.
