The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau school board has decided to seek bids on a project to construct a new athletic complex in Galesville.
The Trempealeau County Times reports the vote was unanimous to place the project out for competitive bids. Earlier estimates had placed the cost at between 5.2 and 5.9 million dollars.
The proposal calls for completely overhauling the high school football complex and allowing an additional 160 arking stalls. In addition, a multi-purpose facility, plus a concession stand and restroom area would be built. It also calls for a new baseball-softball field, bleachers and a new press box.
The board said, depending on the bids, it may chose to construct different aspects of the project and not everything at once.....
