Classes at St. Charles High School may be starting late because the construction project has fallen behind schedule.
The St. Charles Press reports the start date remains at September 5th, but that might have to be changed.
Voters in the school district last fall approved a 12.4 million dollar bond referendum to finance upgrades at the high school and the grade school.
Superintendent Jeff Apse said additional help has been called in to assist the general contractor in getting all the work done. Supplemental cleaning services may also be used to get the building ready for occupancy.
An additional tech support person will also be hired as well. There is a possibility that classes at the high school may have to start a week late.....
