Goodview Police said an autopsy will be conducted on the body of a 39-year-old Goodview man that was located after a search was conducted on Saturday.
Police Chief Kent Russell said the body was located in a private old stone quarry located on the bluff area behind the Sahler Addition which is located off Highway 61.
The man's name was not immediately released.
Russell said the man's family officially reported him missing last Wednesday, October 16th, but that the man had not been seen or heard from since October 3rd. Russell said the man had last been seen near the Sahler Addition.
Russell said the search lasted about three and a-half hours after starting at 7:30 a.m.. It's believed the man fell about 30 to 40 feet off the side of the quarry.
The body was sent to Olmsted County for an autopsy.
A number of agencies were involved in the extensive search including Goodview Police and it's reserve officers, the Sheriff's Department and it's search and rescue squad along with its Mounted Posse, and the local amateur radio club.
A Trempealeau County cadaver dog was also called in to assist.
