Republican State Senator Jeremy Miller says he supports an $850,000,000 bonding bill compromise approved by a House-Senate conference committee Wednesday which has significant funding for construction projects in his district.
Miller said the final version contains 1.7 million dollars for improvements to classrooms at Minnesota State College Southeast Tech in Winona and almost 6-million dollars in funding for the first phase of the Winona State Education Village proposal.
Miller says the bill also has funding some projects in Fillmore County.
The bill also has some funding for repairs to the Lanesboro Dam on the Root River and for DNR fish hatcheries that include the hatchery at Lanesboro.
The bill does not include the full 22-million dollars for the WSU Education Village project which had been contained in the House version.
