The first acquisitions in Winona for right of way for the new Highway 43 Bridge have been recorded.
According to the Winona County Auditor's Office, five properties have been sold to the state of Minnesota for a total of just under $570,000.
The property owners who have settled include James and Diane Remlinger, Gale Peterson and Diane Bochmann, Winona County, Arrow Investments LLC. and David Pirkl.
The project to construct a new interstate bridge and upgrade the current bridge in Winona is still on schedule for a summer start this year.
The Pirkl property sold for 151-thousnd dolars....The Remlinger property sold for 145-thousand dollars...the Peterson and Bchmam property sold for 120-thousand dollars....the Arrow Investments property had price tag opf 137-thousand dollars and the Winona County and sold for 16-thousand-700 dollars.
No word on th acquisition of the larger retail properties in the right-of-way including Dahl Chevrolet, Severson's Sinclair, and the AmericInn Hotel.....
