The Winona County Sheriff's Department is investigating a break-in at a Hidden Valley residence where a silver bullion bar worth $1,600, along with other valuable items, was reported missing.
Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude said the silver bar was located in a metal box in a cellar.
He said other items reported missing included a $20 double-eagle piece and a $5 gold piece, 12 rough-cut diamonds, three homemade quilts, and about 60 turn-of-the-century pieces of art glass.
The burglary occurred sometime between July 27th and August 5th while the owner was away.
Ganrude said the cellar door was forced open to gain entry.....
