The Cochrane-Fountain City School District has hired an assistant principal who will also serve as the school's director of sports and other student activities.
Lucas Kjelland of Prescott, Wis., will begin full-time employment at C-FC beginning July 1.
Starting salary was reportedly set at $72,000 for the 2014-15 school year.
The school board earlier in the year agreed to hire an assistant principal to assist K-12 principal Steve Stoppelmoor.
Stoppelmoor and superintendent Tom Hiebert have shared duties of activities director in recent years.
The school board recently approved a new two-year contract with Stoppelmoor at $82,000 annually, up from a $75,000 salary agreement that was in place since Stoppelmoor was hired as principal 6 years ago.
The contract includes 35 days paid leave for time off and 96 hours a year paid sick leave as well as 90 percent district payment of health and dental insurance coverage.
