Coke Bottles-Bike Path

The Coca-Cola Bottling Co. plant of Winona has been bottling their signature beverage for eighty years and this past October the last vintage 6.5 oz glass bottles rolled off the line.

Changes in industry manufacturing standards made continuance of production of this size glass bottle infeasible, so to celebrate and commemorate, the company is giving back to the people of Winona.

All proceeds from the sale of the last 6-thousand bottles will be donated to the Lake Park Path Reconstruction and Improvement Project. The project includes resurfacing and widening the path to 10 feet and adding drinking fountains.

Bottles can be purchased for $20 at various locations around Winona.

Reconstruction and Improvement project by becoming a satellite location or other effort, contact Winona Park & Recreation, at 457-8258.
