The Cotter boys’ basketball team pulled away late in the second half to beat Medford Thursday night 71-61. Charlie Kretschmer led four players in double figures for Cotter with 13 points. Kyle Kerrigan added 12 and Cotter improves to 6-7.
The Lewiston-Altura boys beat Wabasha-Kellogg 61-48. Nate Reps had 18 points for Lewiston-Altura and Ben Glomski had 22 points for Wabasha-Kellogg. The Cardinals are 9-6 on the season and 7-4 in the Three Rivers Conference and the Falcons drop to 0-12 in conference play and 1-13 overall.
The Cochrane-Fountain City girls suffered their first conference loss last night falling to Eleva-Strum 59-42. The Pirates led by one heading into the fourth quarter but where outscored 21-3 in the final period. Nicole Hunger and Mikahla Murphy each had 13 points. C-FC falls to 4-8 and they are 3-1 in conference play.
Plainview-Elgin-Millville beat the Rushford-Peterson girls 59-48. Kendra Crawford had 17 points and Amy Todd finished with 16 for Rushford-Peterson. Freshman Sarah Hart had 27 points and 11 rebounds for Plainview-Elgin-Millville.
