Cotter Principal Resigns

About two weeks before classes are scheduled to begin Cotter High School will be looking for a new principal.

That's because current principal Oscar Uribe resigned Monday.

Uribe informed the Cotter parents and staff through an email that he was accepting a position as principal at a Rochester middle school.

Uribe has been with Cotter for two years and the last year as principal of Cotter High School and Junior High School.

He called the Rochester position an excellent step for him as a school administrator.

No word from the Cotter Schools on who will replace him or when a search for a successor may begin.
