A reminder that Friday, March 8th, is the deadline for submitting applications for the position of Winona County Auditor-Treasurer.
           
The county is looking for someone to complete the unexpired term of former Auditor-Treasurer Sue Rivers who retired at the end of November.

The new person will be appointed by the County Board to serve until the end of 2014.

The position is up for election in November of 2014.

Since Rivers' retirement, County Finance Director Dave Moga has been overseeing the auditor-treasurer's office.

The County Board last month said they hoped to have a replacement for rivers on board in about six months.
