The Winona County Board of Commissioners will take up a discussion next Tuesday, March 12th, on the process of requesting public data.
Board members will talk about whether or not the county needs to charge a fee for news media and the public to obtain certain public data.
The board will also discuss their 2013 goals.
In addition, the County Board will discuss a request from Fillmore County for one multi-county environmental impact study on proposed frac sand mines in Winona. Fillmore and Houston counties since mine sites are in close proximity. Winona county is currently preparing an E-I-S for two sand mines in Winona County.
The regular meeting will start at 9:00 a.m. with the public data discussion coming in the board's committee meeting which follows the regular meeting.
The Winona County Community Health Board meets at 8:45 a.m. .
