County Board

The Winona County Board of Commissioners next Tuesday will consider adopting a unified environmental health ordinance.
Environmental Health staff has worked with the state of Minnesota to repeal and replace in its entirety six outdated Environmental Health Department ordinances.

Those include ordinances covering: food and beverages, public swimming pools, manufactured home parks, lodging facilities, recreational camping areas, children's camps, and vending machines.

The board will also hear from State Senator Matt Schmit of Red Wing who will address legislation passed by the 2014 legislature and answer commissioner's questions.

It's been reported that former County Administrator Duane Hebert would address the board on his firing in an effort to clear his name...but that item does not appear on the board's agenda.
The Tuesday meeting is at 7:00 p.m. at the County Government Center.
