The Winona County Board of Commissioners next Tuesday, August 12th, will discuss the need for an assistant county administrator when it holds its meeting at the County Government Center.
The county will soon be advertising for a new County Administrator. At their last session, Commissioner Steve Jacob brought up the question of the need for an assistant position when the new administrator is hired.
The assistant position is currently held by Maureen Holte who has been serving as interim County Administrator. Holte has also been serving as the county's personnel director.
Also on the board's agenda, a request from the City of St. Charles for the county to partnership with St. Charles when a new public safety building is constructed. It's possible the county could establish a second radio dispatch site in the St. Charles building that is being proposed.
Recorder Bob Bambenek will give a mid-year update on the activities of his office, and the board will hold a closed session to discuss negotiations with the Winona County Supervisor's labor unit.
The meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the County Government Center.
