Two Winona County law enforcement officers and an assistant county attorney have been formally recognized as DWI Enforcer All-Stars by the state office of traffic safety
During a special ceremony at the Law Enforcement Center Deputy Chad Meyers, Police Office Brad Barrientos, and Assistant County Attorney Steve Ott were recognized for their efforts to reduce drunken driving in the county.
Police Sargent Jay Rasmussen said the state annually recognizes only 12 metro officers and 12 outstate officers for their DWI work...plus one attorney.
Rasmussen said working together the two departments save lives with their DWI enforcement.
All three also received special recognition at Thursday night's Minnesota Twins game where they were introduced, along with the others, to the crowd before the game.
