Dresbach Bridge Replacement

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says a Burnsville company is the apparent low bidder for the project to replace the Interstate 90 Mississippi bridge at Drebach.

Mn-DOT says Ames Construction submitted a bid of $187.5 million dollars for the project that will also include reconstructing the Highway 14-61 and I-90 interchange.  The new I-90 crossing will meet current structural and geometric standards, and the new interchange will improve traffic safety.

Mn-DOT will take the next 30 days to review the proposal to ensure all work, costs, and goals meet standards before officially awarding the contract.  Dresbach bridge construction is scheduled to begin in 2013 and continue through 2016.
