Local authorities said five people were arrested early Tuesday following a drug bust at a residence in Winona's west end.
Sheriff's Investigator Kraig Glover said authorities acted on a search warrant at 1614 West Ninth Street.
Officers from the Police and Sheriff's Departments, along with the Winona County Emergency Response Team entered the residence at 5:45 a.m.
All five people were cited with controlled substance charges and with possession of a firearm after a gun was recovered at the scene.
Arrested were: 42-year-old Brian James Wehlage (WAY'-lah-gee) who resides at the home...33-year-old Alex Daniel Vaughn...27-year-old Whitney Nichole Sherman,,,25-year-old Tyler Wayne Brown...and 29-year-old Jason Richard Steinfeldt, all of Winona.
Wehlage was cited with third and fourth degree controlled substance violations for the alleged sales of meth and a substance more commonly known as plant food.
Steinfeldt is also charged with third and fourth degree drug violations.
Vaughn and Brown were cited with fourth degree controlled substance violations and Sherman faces fifth degree violations.
