The Minnesota DNR says the deadline for removing them in southern Minnesota is March First. Southern Minnesota is defined as south of a line formed by U-S Highway 10 to the Wisconsin border.
The DNR says if the shelters are not removed by the deadline, owners will be prosecuted and the structure and the contents may be confiscated and removed, or destroyed by a conservation officer. Storing or leaving public shelters on a public access is prohibited.
