Fishing Violation--Enos

The Wisconsin DNR reports that a  63-year-old Eleva man has pleaded no contest in Trempealeau County Circuit Court to charges of possessing 76% or more over the legal limit of fish, and for possession of untagged turkeys in an incident that dates back to the day after Labor Day last September.

An alert DNR Conservation Officer, Bob Jumbeck of Buffalo County, spotted Brenton Enos leaving Pool Four of the Mississippi River near Alma with a large number of bluegills in his possession.  A further investigation at Enos' residence turned up more than 200 fillets plus stored meat from six wild turkeys for which Enos had no legal tags.

Enos was sentenced on January 22nd, and fined $1000. He also had one firearm confiscated along with the fish and turkey meat. In addition, the court revoked Enos' hunting, fishing, and trapping privileges for three years.
