Food Drive

The annual Minnesota March Foodshare Drive is off and running and the statewide campaign seeks to raise enough dollars and pounds to supply 300 local foods shelves with about half their annual needs.

Statewide spokeswoman, Julie Canham, says the focus is two fold...Canham also says every little bit helps when it comes to having enough food for those in need.

Locally, Winona Volunteer Services at 402 East Second, is the place to drop off food and cash donations during regular business hours. Green drop barrels are also located in grocery stores and many churches in Winona County

The Winona County goal is to raise $33,000 pounds of food during the month of March.
