The Lewiston Chamber of Commerce and Civic Group had a chance to hear from Republican newcomer Adam Pace of Winona who is challenging Gene Pelowski for the new Minnesota House District 28B seat in November.
Pace, who moved to Winona three years ago from San Diego to join his family, said he is focusing his campaign on protecting personal liberty, reducing the size of government, and a more fiscal responsible government.
He told the group he is concerned about people maintaining their personal freedoms. Pace also said he wants the state legislature to continue along its current path of balancing the budget and holding the line on taxes.
Pace attended both the state Republican convention and the recent National Republican Convention. He said he may be new to the legislative arena but will bring fresh ideas if he is elected.
