A special public information meeting on frac sand and its impacts will be held in Caledonia this week, Thursday, January 17th.   
                   
The session will feature presentations from two experts including Dr. Wayne Feyereisn, who heads up the General Internal Medicine Division at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

Feyerseisn will examine the factual information about the health risks of silica sand and deisal particulates.

Dr. Steven Deller of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, who has been studying the economic  impact of frac sand mining, will discuss some of his research.

The event is free and open to the public.

It runs from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Four Seasons Community Center in Caledonia on Thursday.
