Frack Sand Mining Report
The Environment Minnesota Research and Policy Center will hold a press conference in Winona Thursday to release its new report on frack sand mining in Minnesota.
The group is a state-based, citizen-supported, environmental advocacy organization that investigates problems and helps the public make their voices heard in local, state, and national debates on environmental issues.
The group will release its new report called "The Costs of Fracking" which, they say, documents the costly damage from the fracking industry. The press conference will be held at the Acoustic Cafe at 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
Representatives of some of the local groups concerned about frack sand mining in the Winona area will also be on hand.
