Representatives of Winona's Great River Shakespeare Festival had some good news for stakeholders who attended the annual meeting at the WinonaHistory Center Monday night.
Managing Director Lee Gunderscheimer announced the festival enjoyed a small surplus for the second year in a row for its 2012 season.
Gunderscheimer said a change for 2013 will be the creation of a an annual fund for sustaining members to help finance future festivals.
Gunderscheimer said the festival is also creating the Great River Arts Alliance where it can also work with other local and area festivals to make the Winona area even more of an arts destination for tourists and others to visit.
