Gypsy Moth Spraying

Some Wisconsin residents will see and hear loud, low-flying planes as early as sunrise as planes again will be spraying for gypsy moth caterpillars.

The objective is to slow the westward spread of gypsy moth, invasive and destructive pests that feed on the leaves of many species of trees and shrubs.

Aerial treatments were completed Thursday in Trempealeau, Dunn, Eau Claire and Barron counties. Weather permitting, spraying will continue Friday, in Eau Claire, Barron, Polk and Rusk counties.
